So often we hear about the negative aspects of ADHD: hyperactivity, impulsivity, inattention, etc. But one thing that often gets overlooked is bravery.
According to a New York Times article in 2002, 81% of people want to write a book.
But most people never do it.
And did you know that ADHDers are 300% more likely to start their own businesses? Yes, entrepreneurship and ADHD often go hand in hand, and many successful businesspeople have this condition.
Writing is not the most stable of careers, especially for those who are indie authors. Pursuing this career takes a great deal of courage, especially if you don't receive support from the people around you.
So, take a moment to really acknowledge your own bravery. Recognize that it's often what separates those who have dreams and those who see their dreams become reality.
Whether you're only in the beginning stages of writing your first book or you've written several, you're already doing something most people only dream of. Something most people aren't even brave enough to try.
